Meet my imperfect family

 Here we are...the imperfect mom and the amazing Hubster!!  (his name is J.R. *the letters not Junior*).  He is my soul mate, my rock, and my knight in shining armor!  He has no bio kids, but my kids are his kids and he loves them as if they came from his DNA. (this is both of our 2nd marriages).   
He is a semi-retired Pharmacist.  I am a stay at home mom for the past few years after having a back surgery after being a CNA for almost 5 yrs.  It is fun being home and being able to spend time hanging with my best friend, the hubster!!   He is smart, kind, compassionate and just an all around fun guy!!  He has a quit wit and a great sense of humor.  Although he often touts that he is "blunt and cranky" due to his age.  (he is 19 yrs older than me but honestly....he doesn't act his age at all, often times I think I act older than he does!!   

Next up is a my oldest daughter, she will be 21 in December!!  This pic was from her senior prom a couple of years ago.  Since this photo was taken she has graduated, moved out of our house, moved back in briefly and then moved back out again.  She just had a baby, our first grandchild a baby girl named Felicity!   She lives with her boyfriend and right now stays home with the baby.  But before she had her she worked in a daycare and she wants to go back to school for Early childhood education and become a teacher.   She gave us much grief as a teenager, but she has really matured in this past year and is such a great mommy to her daughter.   

The middle child....our one and only Son!!  This kid is hilarious and actually very sensitive and loving.   He aspires to be a video game designer or musician.  He plays percussion and is quite good.  He has been in a couple of Honor Bands in the past couple of years.  He loves to sing and he epitomizes the classic "teen boy"!   He likes to play football and basketball despite always getting injured.  This kid has really grown up so much and we are so proud of the young man he is becoming.  

This pic on the left is Mini me!!  She is so much like me that it scares me at times.  ;-)   She is very loving and sensitive.  She cares about everyone's feelings and just wants peace and harmony.   She loves to read and write. She loves to snuggle and spend time learning to cook.  She makes some pretty great cupcakes!!   She is in that phase of her life when she loves to get dressed up even just to sit around and do nothing.  The smell of nail polish permeates our house pretty regularly.  She has a great sense of humor and is pretty sarcastic.....(I wonder where she gets that from?)  

 These are our furbabies....Wesley is on the left and Ziggy is on the right.  We rescued them from a shelter when they were just kittens and they have been a very awesome part of our family for 4 years now!   Wesley (aka-Wes), is definitely J.R.'s buddy, he loves to curl up on his lap or lay on his legs as if he were Bageera in The Jungle Book!!    Ziggy is such a love kitty.  He likes to cuddle and be brushed where Wes wants nothing to do with being brushed.  He loves to lay right in between J.R. and I when we watch TV in bed, and he often is found curled up behind Elizabeth's legs in the middle of the night.  We love our cats and they are spoiled rotten by everyone in the house.   They both are very affectionate with each other too....(not in that way...get your mind out of the gutter..LOL)   





Lastly but definitely not least is our newest addition, Felicity!!  Our 1st grandchild.  She is such a sweet, calm and very expressive baby.  She caused her momma a lot of pain and worry before she arrived but when she made her appearance there was no doubt that she was perfect in every way.   She showed the doctors that too by proving the ultrasounds wrong. (they thought she might have had something wrong with her kidneys and diaphragm in utero but post birth tests showed nothing!!  :)  For that we are truly blessed for sure!!
